Tender For Repair/ Maintenance Of Fire Hydrant And Fire Alarm System At Af Station Halwara Under Ge (Af) Halwara.; 1 Preventive and comprehensive maintenance of complete fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s) installed at multi-storey MAP Qtr and Technical area in reliable, safe and efficient manner using latest techniques & expertise by regularly examining the sensor/detector, Main fire alarm control panels, Repeater panels, Hooters, MCP, Sirens pump motor, alarm system, examining leakage, various valves including repair / replacementof damaged items including making the non-functional parts of fire alarm system into fully functional condition. Attending day to day complaint / fault(s) in general shift of 08 hrs every day incl sunday & holiday, including quarterly cleaning of the detectors and monthly joint testing/inspection of the complete fire alarm system, including replacement of minor items such as wire, lugs, nut, bolts, screws, electronic circuit,including minor items complete all as specified and directed by Engr- in- charge.Note : (i) The contractor will have to employ minimum 01 Nos of Fire technician (ITI Technician to submit copy of qualification) & 01 No Helper (Semi-skilled/pipe fitter) every day including Sunday and holiday to attend day to day complaints as well as periodical / routine maintenance and joint inspection / testing of fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s) installed at various locations / areas and maintain a register which is to be countersigned by JE I/C as also submit the feedback on daily basis to the Engineer-in-Charge/ concerned JE E/M. The reliever must be provided as per labour law & cost deemed to be included in qouted rates.(ii) The tradesmen/ technician (s) should be having minimum 3 years work experience of respective trade.(iii) In case, additional manpower other than mentioned here-in-above, will be required for smooth functioning of fire alarm system or attending day to day complaints or periodical / routine maintenance or joint inspection / testing of fire alarm system(s) installed at various locations / areas, the contractor shall arrange the same without any extra cost to Deptt.(iv) The comprehensive / preventive / periodical maintenance includes monthly joint inspection/ testing of entire fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s). The joint inspection / test report duly signed by contractor and MES representativeand it shall be submitted along with RAR for payment. Failing which no payment shall be made to the contractor. 2 (v) The complete fire alarm system(s) will be handed over to contractor in existing condition and no claim on this effect will be accepted at any stage. Hence, the bidder is advised to visit the site to assess the quantum of work to be carried out in this contract and quote their rates accordingly.(vi) The cost of all kind of repair /servicing/ replacement of defective equipment/devices and other minor parts/spares or cell/ batteriesas and when required for making the entire fire alarm system(s) fully functional, is deemed to be included in quoted rates and no extra cost shall be paid to the contractor on this effect. However, the Cost of majorequipment / devices shall be measured & paid separately under relevant item of this Schedule.(vii) All the complaint / fault (s) will be addressed within 02 hrs from the time of receipt of complaint. If, contractor or his tradesmen fails to attend the complaint within 02 hrs from the time of receipt of complaint verbaly or telephonically, the compensation/penalty of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred only)per complaint per hr for first 04 hr and after that Rs. 1000 (Rupees one thousand only ) per complaint each day (i.e 24 hrs ) shall be recovered from the contractor’s dues.(ix) The contractor shall provide all the necessary T&P, uniform and stationary such as Attendance Register, Periodical Maintenance Register, logbook etc to the technician without any extra cost to Dept.(x) The following documents to be produced for monthly payment:-(a) Monthly testing report of all fire hydrant duly signed , MES rep & contractor.(b) Serviceability of pump sets signed by rep of MES & Engr-in-charge.(c) Serviceability test report of all fire alarm system duly signed, MES rep & contractor.(d) The attendance register for technician & helper to be maintained and put up for processing RAR which needs to be produced to Engr-in-charge for countersigned on monthly basis. Absentees if any will be penalised at the rate of Rs. 2000/- per day per person. 3 Excavation in trenches not exc 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of electric cables or for poles and stay or for laying pipes (where provided for protection of cables) and getting out, trimming the sides forming bottom surface to required level in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. 4 Returning , filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. 5 Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed complete all as specified and dircted by Engineer-In-Charge. 6 Material and labour in repair/ replacement for hose box made of 18 gauge MS sheet 800mm X 600mm X 250mm with double door with 4 mm thick glasses and door frame made of 16 gauge MS sheet duly painted with fire red colour out side and brilliant white inside yard including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 7 Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of canvas hose pipe suitable for fire hydrant of 63 mm bore, 15 mtr long with coupling made out of brass and nozzle of size 63 mm to 20mm dia as per bureau of indian standards including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. 8 Material and labour in repair/ replacement for Yard hydrant post /stand post made out of 80 mm dia GI/MS both flanged type 1.5 M height complete including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed Engr-in-Charge. 9 Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of fire hydrant landing valve type `B` (single/ double head outlet) 63 mm dia confirming to IS-5292 including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed Engr-in-Charge. 10 Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of branch pipe gun metal 63 mm instantaneous 15 mm bore nozzle long type confirming to IS-903 including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed Engr-in-Charge. 11 Material and labour in replacement for earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode of size 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at depth not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick and packed layer of charcol dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connected by galvanised iron strip 32 mm x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts andwashers connected to test termination point protected by 40mm bore GI pipe light grade and GI pipe lightgrade 20mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 including exluvation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr all as specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part - I complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
