Heating System Modernization - Moncton Co - Nb . Engineering Services The City Of Moncton Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Professional Consulting Firms With Demonstrated Experience In Mechanical Engineering, Arena And Skating-Rink Hvac Systems, Hydronic Heating, Refrigeration Heat Recovery, Energy Efficiency, Energy Modelling, Building Controls, And Related Building-System Upgrades. The Purpose Of This Rfp Is To Engage A Qualified Consultant To: Assess The Existing Heating And Associated Hvac Infrastructure Serving The Arena Portion Of The Moncton Coliseum. Develop And Complete An Investment Analysis Report Evaluating Four (4) Heating System Scenarios: Two (2) Heating System Options Identified By The City; One (1) Alternative Heating System Option Developed By The Successful Proponent; And One (1) Like-For-Like Replacement Scenario Representing The Baseline Renewal Option. Evaluate Each Option On A Consistent And Comparable Basis, Including Capital Costs, Energy Consumption, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Operating And Maintenance Costs, Lifecycle Costs, Replacement Requirements, Risks, And Other Relevant Technical And Financial Considerations. Recommend A Preferred Heating System Solution Based On Technical Feasibility, Lifecycle Cost, Energy Performance, Greenhouse Gas Reduction Potential, Operational Requirements, Maintainability, Reliability, Regulatory Compliance, Implementation Risk, And Overall Value To The City. Subject To The Citys Review And Authorization To Proceed, Develop The Selected Option Through Conceptual Design, Design Development, Final Tender Documents, Construction Administration, Commissioning Support, And Post-Construction/Close-Out Services, Including: All Project Deliverables And Design Documents Required Under This Rfp; Cost Estimates From Class D Through Class A; Tendering Support, Including Responses To Rfis, Clarifications, And Addenda; Construction Administration, Including Site Meetings, Responses To Rfis, Change Orders, And Bi-Weekly Site Inspection Reports; And Post-Construction And Project Close-Out Services. The Project Is Intended To Support The Renewal Of Aging Heating And Ventilation Infrastructure At The Moncton Coliseum While Providing Opportunities To Reduce Energy Consumption, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, And Long-Term Operating Costs Through The Integration Of Refrigeration Plant Heat Recovery And Appropriately Selected High-Efficiency Heating Technologies. The City Intends To Optimize Its Design Decision By Identifying And Implementing The Most Feasible Heating System Option Through The Investment Analysis Report Described In This Rfp.
