Project No.: 0662-6R4090 Project Description: This project includes two specific sites in the core of downtown Crockett: (Site 1) Pedestrian crossing on Pomona Street at 3rd Avenue; and (Site 2) Pedestrian crossing on Pomona Street at Rolph Avenue. Site 1: The project will add bulb-outs, a pedestrian refuge island, and curb ramps at the intersection of Pomona Street and 3rd Avenue. A pedestrian island and Rapid Repeating Flashing Beacon (RRFB) will be installed to facilitate pedestrians crossing Pomona Street at 3rd Avenue. Site 2: Two legs of the Pomona Street/Rolph Avenue intersection will include an improved pedestrian crossing. On the easterly leg, bulb-outs will be added to the end of each crosswalk. On the northerly leg, a bulb-out and new pedestrian refuge island will be provided for additional safety. A curb ramp is also proposed for the west end of this crosswalk. Bidders that have not attended a pre bid meeting in the last 12 months should attend the County pre bid meeting noted in the Notice to Contractors.
