Project No.: 0662-6R4090 Project Description: This project includes two specific sites in the core of downtown Crockett: (Site 1) Pedestrian crossing on Pomona Street at 3rd Avenue; and (Site 2) Pedestrian crossing on Pomona Street at Rolph Avenue. Site 1: The project will add bulb-outs, a pedestrian refuge island, and curb ramps at the intersection of Pomona Street and 3rd Avenue. A pedestrian island and Rapid Repeating Flashing Beacon (RRFB) will be installed to facilitate pedestrians crossing Pomona Street at 3rd Avenue. Site 2: Two legs of the Pomona Street/Rolph Avenue intersection will include an improved pedestrian crossing. On the easterly leg, bulb-outs will be added to the end of each crosswalk. On the northerly leg, a bulb-out and new pedestrian refuge island will be provided for additional safety. A curb ramp is also proposed for the west end of this crosswalk. Bidders that have not attended a pre bid meeting in the last 12 months should attend the County pre bid meeting noted in the Notice to Contractors. The pre bid meeting will include an overview of the Outreach Program requirements and staff will be available to answer your questions. |
