Support project for the consolidation of the promotion of environmental management in Lexeiba |

This consolidation project has the overall objective of improving the living conditions of women and young people through waste management and processing actions. More specifically: (i) Raise awareness among local stakeholders and communities, particularly young people and women, about environmental and sustainable development issues; (ii) Facilitate the establishment of a household waste processing unit. The projects action will help prepare for the long-term life of the plastic waste processing system. The expected results of the project are: R1: The management committees for the optimization of the household waste management system are created and operational; R2: A feasibility study of the waste processing unit is carried out. The project activities are: A1: Structure and train waste management committees; A2: Carry out communication campaigns among households on the Social Accountability systemEnvironmental (CSR).; A3: Organize sanitation campaigns through an Environment Day; A4: Conduct a feasibility study for the operation of a waste processing unit; A5: Organize a regional workshop to share the feasibility study. Overall, the key stakeholders of the project will be involved in facilitating the project approach in order to provide the stakeholders of the municipalities with Environmental Social Accountability (ESA) tools.
