Project Name Strengthening the Policy Environment for Womens Resilience in Central Asia Project Number 58457-001 Country / Economy Regional Kazakhstan Kyrgyz Republic Tajikistan Turkmenistan Project Status Active 1.The technical assistance (TA) will assess how the current policy environment affect womens resilience in four Central Asia developing member countries (DMCs)Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistanand recommend actions to integrate gender concerns in these documents and initiatives. Specifically, the TA team will: (i) conduct a stocktaking of each covered DMCs existing national policies and programs on climate change, and assess how these policies have considered gender; (ii) propose amendments to include gender mainstreaming in climate policies and programs, or develop supplemental policy and program actions that enable addressing gender issues in climate change; and (iii) conduct a capacity building workshop with concerned government agencies and other stakeholders on strengthening integration of gender concerns in climate change policies and programs. |
