Cocoa is a native crop of high cultural and nutritional value that allows the integration of the dimensions of sustainability, in addition to the relevance and pertinence that they are having to counteract hunger and minimize environmental damage, for this reason the project proposal is presented: COCOA CULTIVATION IN AGROFORESTRY SYSTEMS (SAF) AS A SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD AND RESTORATION OF THE GALLERY FORESTS OF THE OSPINO RIVER MICROBASIN. This proposal is part of Strengthening cocoa cultivation in diversified systems in peri-urban families by promoting varieties of criollo cocoa and the protection of soils on riverbanks, promoting agroforestry systems and the comprehensive use of products and by-products, fully integrating women in the process: cocoa processing and processing, production of organic fertilizers and mainly adding value to production that will improve the family economy and quality of life.
