The Sahel Regional Engagement for Learning and Collaboration in Education Project (RELANCE) builds on existing national and regional portfolios in the participating countries to address persistent education challenges through a regional approach. The project is structured around three components: the first component will help participating countries to harmonize and better manage their education systems through a range of interventions that are crucial to enhance their performance (planning, training, assessment, effective reform programming), the second component will offer urgently looked-for education access and remediation to the high number of out-of-school youth by operationalizing a regional open school, and the third component will support project management and monitoring and evaluation. The Project Development Objective is (i) to strengthen management capacity of education systems and (ii) to expand access to educational opportunities for vulnerable youth. |
