Project Name Developing Green Finance Digital Platform Project Number 58441-001 Country / Economy Regional Project Status Active The proposed TA will support preparatory activities for the development of the Green Finance Digital Platform (GFDP) - an artificial intelligence (AI) based platform to fast-track due-diligence of green infrastructure projects including assessing bankability, environmental and social safeguards, co-benefits, and financial, gender equality, legal, and technological aspects. GFDP will allow users to upload project data and will leverage existing ADB policies, knowledge products and project database as well as other publicly available information (such as local laws and regulations) to assess and highlight potential risks, mitigation measures, and other key considerations. GFDP will expedite the screening, due diligence, and document review process, thereby reducing costs and preparation time while enhancing project quality. The platform will also generate relevant reports and documents based on pre-set templates. GFDP may be utilized by developing member countries (DMCs) governments and agencies, public financial institutions, and private investors. GFDP will enhance the capacity of these entities in screening, assessing, preparing, and structuring sustainable bankable projects, thereby mobilizing private investments for the green transition. The platform will also enable DMCs to improve project team management and make more efficient, cost-effective use of ADBs extensive knowledge base. |
