Project Name Vinschool Sustainable Education Project Project Number 58127-001 Borrower / Company Vinschool Joint Stock Company Country / Economy Viet Nam The project supports Vinschool in the construction of nine new campuses and the purchase of three existing campuses from the affiliated entities. Those campuses are located in the suburban districts of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen province. Objectives and Scope The project improves access to quality education in the suburban districts of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hung Yen province, thereby contributing to the development of social infrastructure in new residential hubs outside the traditional congested urban centers. This loan will be the first Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) for the education sector in Vietnam. Additionally, Vinschool has committed to obtain the EDGE Level 1 green building certification for one of the new campuses under the project financing. The SLL and the green building certification are expected to have demonstration effect to other schools in Vietnam. |
