Project No. PPWE_201_2024A Project Title APEC Workshop on Empowering Women in the Just Energy Transitions Project Status Project in Implementation APEC pursues the commitments and priorities to further integrate action on climate change across relevant APEC workstreams, and in furtherance of the Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green Economy, to continue to pursue new goals for APEC to further strengthen adoption of new and renewable energy. APEC acknowledges and supports energy transition, striving to meet our sustainable development and climate goals and commitments through various pathways and target to benefit all stakeholders including women. In this sense, we would like to propose a 2-day workshop with aims to improve capacity building for APEC member economies, especially developing ones through identifying challenges impeding womens participation in just energy transition; and hence, sharing information, experiences in figuring out approaches to address challenges and support women to participate and benefit from just energy transition. |
