The project aims to improve the resilience of agriculture in Palestine by introducing and promoting the cultivation of climate-stress-tolerant quininoa, through establishing training workshop for extension agents to exchange knowledge about Quinoa. Holding demonstration site in Jericho (QOU) Setting up the criteria for farmers and site selection. Establishing seed producer groups (SPG)(2-3 farmers) in Jenin district to produce and sell seeds of Quinoa to other farmers. Establishing Grain Producer group (GPG)(7-10 farmers) from Jordan Valley to produce Quinoa grains. Conducting two days? workshop for all involved farmers in the project. (?10 farmers) Farmers coaching. Conducting two days training workshop for extension agents to exchange knowledge about Quinoa. Conducting two days workshops and several meetings in order to link farmers to local markets. Producing Promotional and documentary Videos for Quinoa recipes, as well promotional materials. Producing promotional materials (leaflets, roll up, and short film). Runing GHG emissions quantifications. And fformulating rrecommendation of the most appropriate practices. By systematically implementing these measures the project aims to not only introduce quinoa as a climate-stress-tolerant crop but also establish a robust support system involving farmers, seed and grain producer groups, extension agents, and local markets, contributing to the overall resilience of agriculture in Palestine. |
