Project Development Programme for Green Hydrogen Projects (PDP-H2) Green hydrogen is needed for energy transitions and climate protection worldwide. However, developing countries often lack the knowledge and technologies required to develop and implement green hydrogen projects. To transition to a hydrogen-based economy, local companies and administrations need to have the necessary technical qualifications, and legal frameworks (including incentive mechanisms) must be developed. However, for international technology providers and project developers with this expertise, the transaction costs of identifying and evaluating potential projects are currently too high a hurdle. Objective The necessary conditions for implementing reference projects for the production of green hydrogen have been created in eleven cooperation countries. |
