Project Detail More than 80% of Mongolias export products are mineral products, and in order to break away from its dependence on mineral resources, the country needs to diversify its industries, including manufacturing and processing. Therefore, it is necessary to promote manufacturing industries targeting livestock and agricultural products, and to provide support for business management, introduction of technology, and technological improvement in small, medium, and micro enterprises, which account for 90% of Mongolian enterprises. The Japanese government established the Mongolia-Japan Human Resources Development Center (MOJC) in 2002 to support Mongolias transition to a market economy, and through the Mongolia-Japan Human Resources Development Center, Business Human Resources Development and Exchange Center Functional Enhancement Project (Phase 1) implemented from 2015, MOJC has been In addition to fostering business human resources, MOJC has been developed as a base for business exchange with Japanese companies. This cooperation (Phase 2) aims to strengthen MOJCs functions such as business human resource development and business exchange between Japan and Mongolia by establishing an organizational structure to plan and run MOJCs business courses and implement new projects on its own initiative, and to make MOJC a platform for business exchange between Japan and Mongolia and industry-academia collaboration. As a platform for business exchange and industry-academia collaboration between Japan and Mongolia, the MOJC will contribute to the diversification and advancement of industry in Mongolia and the strengthening of economic ties between Japan and Mongolia.
