Project Detail |
The Ministry of Health of Lao PDR has positioned Health service provision and hospital management as an important issue in order to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) by 2025, and is working to establish a hospital accreditation system to improve the quality of medical care, and is scheduled to set accreditation standards and conduct evaluations. The Japan government has supported the improvement of the quality of Health services in the four southern provinces of the country in response to the provision of Health services and hospital operations. As a result, a system has been established for hospitals to implement quality improvement activities for Health services, and each hospital is able to develop and implement quality improvement plans with limited budgets, thereby improving patient satisfaction with Health services. However, since the acquisition of hospital certification includes the evaluation of the quality of hospitals, it is necessary to continuously improve the quality of Health services, and further support is needed to implement quality improvement activities in line with the hospital certification items newly established by the Ministry of Health and to expand them to the county level. There is also a need to improve accounting management in hospitals. In this cooperation, we will contribute to the maintenance of high-quality Health services and the strengthening of economic protection of patients by conducting activities related to the quality of Health services and improving hospital accounting under the hospital certification system in the four southern provinces of the country, thereby ensuring that Health services are provided with sufficient quality and appropriate coverage of health insurance. |
