In Laos, the net enrollment rate in primary Education is 98.7% for girls and 99.0% for boys, with many children having access to Education, but improving the quality of Education is a challenge. In order to improve the learning of more children, it is essential to strengthen the capacity and collaboration of personnel involved in continuous professional development (CPD) of in-service teachers, including teacher training colleges (TTCs). This project will create CPD materials, strengthen the capacity of TTC instructors, strengthen TTC-affiliated schools as models for implementing the new primary math curriculum, and effectively promote CPD. In this way, the project aims to strengthen the implementation of the primary math curriculum in the target counties and thereby improve the academic performance of primary math in the target counties. [Overall Goal] Academic achievement in elementary math will be improved in the target TTC areas. [Project Purpose] The implementation of the elementary math curriculum in the target TTC areas will be strengthened. Outcome. Output 1 CPD materials will be developed.
