Project Name Building the capacity smallholder farmers in Ecological Farming, Conservation agriculture and Organic Farming to mitigate climate and support Biodiversity conservation in the Black Volta Basin.
Project Detail The project seeks to: ? build the capacity of farmers to withstand the effects of climate change by adopting sustainable practice conservation agriculture, agroecology, and organic farming. ? support 200 farmers in Walewale to practice conservation agriculture, agroecology, and organic farming. ? support 200 farmers to prepare compost to conserve the environment. ? train 100 farmers to invest in compost preparation as a business enterprise and alternative livelihood activity 3rd disbursement of US$2, 200 Upon receipt and acceptance of the second technical and financial progress report and for the execution of the final operational/activity work plan, which is to consolidate best practices and help develop manuals for conservation and organic farming among smallholder farmers.
