The loan will part-finance the design and civil works,as well asrelated consultancy services, for the reconstruction and upgrade of a 234-km section of the Aktobe-Ulgaisyn road. The project will be co-financed by the AIIB and by the Republic of Kazakhstan. Project Objectives The reconstruction and upgrades (from 2 to 4 lanes) of a 234-km long road section between the cities of Aktobe and Ulgaisyn. The improvements in inter-regional connectivity, safety standards, increased road capacity and reduced travel time. |
