The water source development project for resilient water supply and agricultural development in the communities of Mahalé and Marembo aims to contribute to improving the living conditions of the populations of this high-density village (500hat/km²) through increased access to drinking water supply, hygiene and the development of womens market gardening activities. Its implementation will provide climate-smart infrastructure as well as detailed feasibility and design actions aimed at ensuring access to water for all at the village level and probably the region. This project will also enable the community to acquire institutional, organizational and individual capacities in public water service and IWRM. This includes 4 components: (i) Immediate interventions and preventive measures through increased reforestation; (ii) Planning ofinvestments and management of water resources; and (iii) Capacity building on a mass awareness program, (iv) Project Coordination and Management. |
