Project Number:GUA/SGP/OP7/Y4/CORE/2023/14 The vision of the Prodesarrollo Tzununá Youth Association is: to be a productive, innovative association that meets the needs of comprehensive development with effective projects that help the municipality, highlighting capacities and skills linked to the deficiencies. Currently, the association has 35 active members, 20 of them are women and 15 men, with a presence in three communities in the municipality of Santa Cruz La Laguna. The main activity of the AJPO TZUNUN Association is the production of laying hens for egg production, providing the technical management of three sheds of 280 square meters in total, with approximately 3,000 laying hens, the result of the management of inclusion and innovative projects with a sustainable approach, with state entities (FONAGRO) and international entities (Counterpart International Inc.). These projects have been important in the technical development of laying hen management, with 3 extremely poor rural communities being beneficiaries.Municipality of Santa Cruza La Laguna in the department of Sololá (Tzununá, Pajomel and Chuitzanchaj). The project proposal consists of the processing and transformation of the excrement of these chickens through the implementation of 3 drying yards to obtain organic matter which will be marketed to farmers in the region, allowing the generation of income for the association and offering organic fertilizer that would reduce the use of chemical fertilizers that contaminate the soil and water sources and reduce costs to farmers. In terms of organizational structure, the proposal directs actions to strengthen technical processes (manuals, evaluations, records, etc.), administrative-accounting (processes of adjudication and liquidation of funds) and commercial (business plan, promotion, etc.) that allow the empowerment of capacities and knowledge on fertilizer production techniques. |
