Tarsheed for Sustainable Future The project aims to cultivate an environmental consciousness and enhance comprehension of the construction sector and the built environment in Palestine, aligning with both local and international endeavors for a sustainable future. The strategy involves fostering networking, capacity building, and partnerships, incorporating case studies and the execution of pilot projects. Key components include communication with entities slated for auditing, hosting audit training workshops, and conducting a Pre-Audit phase walk-through audit encompassing eight sites with an estimated 2-3 trainees per site over 2-3 visits per site. The subsequent steps involve the preparation of eight audit reports and the development of a brochure structured around technology and intervention approaches. This publication will serve to announce available opportunities for aspiring green entrepreneurs. The project also includes the organization of three training sessions and one-on-one meetings with entrepreneursto either develop or update project concepts. The evaluation of submitted project ideas will lead to the selection of projects to be supported, with one jury session, one event, and five winners chosen for assistance. The support to the selected winners entails the provision of supplies for their projects, which will be verified through bills. This comprehensive approach aims to contribute to the growth of environmental awareness, sustainable practices in the construction sector, and the nurturing of green entrepreneurship in Palestine. |
