Project No. HRDWG_202_2024A Project Title International Forum on Lifelong Vocational Skills Training Project Status Project in Implementation This project aims to establish a knowledge-sharing platform among APEC economies focused on lifelong vocational skills training. It seeks to identify key elements of an effective vocational training system, including stakeholder interactions, operational mechanisms, and evaluation processes. The goal is to enhance employability, address skills gaps, and build economic resilience in the post-pandemic era. Through an international forum and a case report, the project will facilitate the exchange of best practices and theoretical insights for improving lifelong vocational training systems among policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions across APEC regions. Participants will include APEC economy stakeholders engaged in vocational training, with the broader workforce benefiting from improved employment opportunities and job quality. It is in line with the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040 and the APEC 2024 Peru theme of “Empower. Include. Grow.” by fostering a better policy framework for vocational training and workforce development in APEC economies. |
