Viet Nam Despite steady economic growth, only about 30% of the countrys labor force has received a certain level of Education or training at universities, vocational training schools, etc., and a shortage of middle managers, technical managers, and skilled workers has been pointed out. In particular, universities are facing a shortage of faculty members in relation to the increase in the number of students, low Education and research levels due to a lack of materials, equipment, and funds, and a gap between labor market demand and students major fields of study (shortage of students in the natural sciences and engineering), making the development of human resources to play a key role in industrial development a top priority. Under these circumstances, Vietnam-Japan University (VJU: Vietnam Japan University) opened in September 2016 as a high-quality university symbolizing the friendship between Japan and Viet Nam. Japan launched the "Vietnam-Japan University Masters Program Establishment Project" in April 2015, supporting the establishment of an organizational management system and a masters program. This cooperation will strengthen VJUs Education ·research and management capacity to establish a foundation for consistent, high-quality Education ·research and management from undergraduate to graduate level, contributing to the production of human resources that will drive social and industrial development in Viet Nam and the Southeast Asian region. |
