Nepal The government has identified capacity strengthening and quality improvement of relevant institutions, especially in seed, as an urgent priority in its agricultural development strategy. Nepal In Japan, 90% of the seed used is home-grown seed with deteriorated quality. Behind this is the problem of production, supply, and quality control on the part of seed suppliers, as well as the problem of awareness-raising among general farmers who are not aware of the benefits of purchasing and using certified seed. In the first province of Nepal, this project will develop a seed production plan, strengthen the capacity of stakeholders in each production process of rice seed, and improve awareness of the use of improved seed. In this way, the project aims to strengthen the system of rice seed production, supply, and quality control, thereby improving rice productivity in the target areas and operating a strengthened system of rice seed production, supply, and quality control in the entire Nepal land. |
