Aligned with APECs priorities on innovation, digitalization, and environmental technology adoption, the initiative encourages regional cooperation and the sharing of best practices. It focuses on capacity building among APEC officials to improve environmental policies, especially benefiting developing economies. The project involves a hybrid workshop featuring expert panels, case studies, practical exercises, and connection opportunities, aiming for broad stakeholder engagement and gender- inclusive participation. Expected outcomes include an increased use of innovative technologies in environmental monitoring, fostering regional collaborations, and enhancing efficiency in environmental surveillance. This initiative supports APECs digital and environmental objectives, contributing to sustainable growth and economic development across the Asia-Pacific. The event will take place SOM1 2025. |
