The knowledge and support technical assistance (KSTA) cluster Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific (KI) 20242026 was approved in March 2023, with an overall implementation from 1 September 2023 to 31 December 2027. Subproject 1 (TA 10104) is being implemented from 1 September 2023 to 30 June 2025. One of the main outputs of subproject 1 is the 55th edition (KI 2024) of the KI publication. This edition addresses climate change and the data needed to inform climate-related policies, focusing on data availability and challenges that could hinder effective policymaking for mitigation and adaptation strategies. Additionally, statistical tables are available online via the Key Indicators Database (KIDB). The KI 2024 main book was published in August 2024, along with a special supplement highlighting the benefits of adopting the Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) standard, especially for developing economies.
