Project Detail |
In Indonesia, the demand for electricity has been increasing in recent years due to stable economic growth of about 5% per year. In Aceh, the supply capacity of existing power generation facilities is not keeping up with peak demand, and expanding power generation capacity is an urgent issue.
This project aims to alleviate the tight power supply-demand balance in the Aceh-North Sumatra system and stabilize the supply by constructing a hydroelectric power plant and related power transmission and distribution facilities in Aceh. This will contribute to regional economic development in northern Sumatra through improving the investment environment, the recovery and reconstruction of the province, and the reduction of the burden on the global environment through the use of renewable energy.
