In India, rapid urbanization in recent years has resulted in traffic congestion, air pollution, and health hazards caused by air pollution, making improvement of the urban environment an urgent issue. This project will construct Metro Lines 1 and 2 in Patna, the capital of Bihar, which will operate in the center of the city. The project aims to meet the increasing demand for transportation and thereby improve the urban environment, develop the local economy, and alleviate the Climate Change through urban development centered on public transportation. (1) Purpose of the Project This project aims to construct Metro Lines 1 and 2 in Patna, the capital of Bihar, to meet the increasing transportation demand in the city center, thereby contributing to the improvement of the urban environment, development of the local economy, and mitigation of Climate Change through urban development centering on public transportation. (2) Project Details The project will cover the following sections Line 1 (new construction): Between Danapur Station and Kemnichak Station Approx. 11km underground, 7km elevated/aboveground, 6 underground stations, 8 elevated/aboveground stations, total approx. 18km, 14 stations Line 2 (new construction): From Patna station to New ISBT station 8 km underground, 7 km elevated/aboveground, 7 underground stations, 5 elevated/aboveground stations, total approx. 15 km, 12 stations |
