Project Detail |
Towards a Holistic Approach to Labour Migration Governance and Labour Mobility in North Africa (THAMM Plus) Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia are experiencing high population growth. At the same time, there is a lack of employment prospects and the professional qualifications acquired often do not meet the needs of the labour markets. This negatively impacts the economy. Fair and safe labour migration creates additional professional and economic prospects. Young people can acquire new skills and improve their employability through training or working in Germany and other EU countries. The countries of origin benefit from the new employment opportunities, the transfer of knowledge, support from the diaspora and long-term partnerships with the private sector. Objective Development and demand-oriented labour migration between North Africa and Europe has been established over the long term. |
