Project Detail |
Although Samawah is the capital of Musanna Province, the city does not have a large-scale water purification plant and is heavily dependent on water supply from water purification facilities outside the city. In addition, due to the low capacity of the water treatment plants outside the city and leaks during water delivery, the city is unable to secure an adequate water supply and meet the water demand of its residents. In addition, the Euphrates River around the city is experiencing a decrease in rainfall due to Climate Change and the resulting inflow of seawater from the Persian Gulf, etc., has resulted in an extremely high salinity level, which requires desalination in order to use the water as drinking water. In light of this situation, water supply facilities including desalination facilities and water pipes will be constructed in Samawah City, Musanna Province to improve water supply volume, water quality, and water supply time, and to make effective use of Sustainable Water Resources Management Purpose of the Project This project aims to construct water supply facilities including desalination facilities in Samawah City, Musanna Province, in order to improve the water supply quantity, water quality, and water supply time, and to make effective use of Sustainable Water Resources Management, thereby contributing to a stable drinking water supply and promoting economic and social development in the city. Project Details (1) Civil engineering work (1) Construction of water purification facilities, and operation, maintenance and management for 5 years after completion of the project (2) Laying of transmission lines from the substation to the water purification facilities (3) Installation of primary water pipelines and concentrated drainage pipes (2) Consulting services Basic design, detailed design, bidding assistance, construction supervision (training, operation and maintenance support, support for mapping of water transmission and distribution pipeline network, etc.) |
