Vietnam Project Notice - Vietnam Counter Trafficking In Persons

Project Notice

PNR 67358
Project Name Vietnam Counter Trafficking in Persons
Project Detail Trafficking in persons is a major challenge in Vietnam: Men, women and children are trafficked both within the country and internationally for purposes of sexual exploitation, forced labor, fraudulent and forced marriages, debt bondage, and involuntary servitude. Vietnamese trafficking victims can also be swept up in drug trafficking rings or fall prey to forced scamming. The Vietnam Counter Trafficking in Persons activity will contribute to Vietnam’s national goals to reduce human trafficking and to increase provincial and national-level counter-trafficking responses through comprehensive protection and prevention measures. The activity will strengthen local capacity and engagement, supporting stakeholders to recognize a wider variety of forms of trafficking, as well as expand proactive victim identification measures and trauma-informed assistance approaches. The activity also will introduce prevention activities including behavior change and livelihoods development, while fostering collaboration from partners including civil society representatives, donors, and the private sector.
