Project Detail |
The APHI-COD project in support of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo is part of a larger project proposed under the “Global Gateway Health Package” presented at the 6th EU-AU Summit. It aims to establish or strengthen the performance of African public health institutes by providing training and supporting research facilities.
The project pursues 4 objectives: (1) contribute to the health and well-being of the Burundian population (SDG 3) through the provision of multiple public health services by high-performing state health entities; (2) establish/strengthen regional and international links between African and European Public Health Institutes (ISPs) in order to develop research, training, policy advice and advocacy; (3) support the functions, attributions and core services of Burundian schools and institutes of public health; and (4) support the strengthening of the digital health capacities of the INSP. |
