The development objective of the Strengthening Social Protection Delivery System in Sindh Project for Pakistan is to strengthen social protection service delivery system and enhance accessibility and utilization of mother and child health services in selected districts in Sind. The project comprises of three components. The first component, strengthen Sindh social protection service delivery systems will support the social protection authority (SPA) to build a broader integrated information system for social protection (IIS) to improve the flow of information across social programs and the management of social programs’ information leading to the implementation of more inclusive and responsive social protection initiatives in Sindh. The second component, mother, and child support program (MCSP) objectives are to create demand for maternal, newborn, and child healthcare (MNCH) and nutrition services and promote behavioral change to increase uptake of the MNCH services focusing on the first 1,000 days of life through the provision of conditional cash transfer (CCTs) in selected districts. The third component, contingent emergency response with zero allocation, will be available to the Borrower to gain quick access to Bank financing to respond to a crisis or emergency.Strengthen social protection service delivery system and enhance accessibility and utilization of Mother and Child Health Services in selected districts in Sindh |
