Exhibition on Innovative Technologies in Customs

Customs administrations around the world are striving to adapt to the rapid changes in the trade environment, such as the upsurge of e-commerce and drug smuggling. To overcome the short-staffing situation prevalent in customs administration, economies are promoting ‘Research and Development Tailored to Customs Administration’ focused on cooperation in the area of scientific technologies in customs.
Korea Customs Service has developed technologies such as an integrated X ray device for scanning small cargo equipped with automatic AI selectivity system and a training system for X-ray interpretation, and so on.
This project will organise an exhibition on technologies in customs over 3-4 days over the period of SCCP SOM1 and SOM3, which will showcase technologies tailored to the on-site customs administration. At the exhibition, participants of the SCCP Meetings and workshops will be invited on a tour to experience advanced equipment firsthand.
