Project Name Accelerating Youth Employment and the Green Skills Transition Project Number 57254-001 Country / Economy India Project Status Approved Project Type / Modality of Assistance Technical Assistance The overall objective is to help Indias Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and state-level skills agencies to better position the skills system as an enabler toward improving youth employment outcomes and harnessing the untapped potential of Indias youth dividend to drive the countrys clean energy growth. The TA team will (i) establish baseline knowledge of the impact of clean energy, and its end-use industries, on technologies, job roles, and skills; (ii) help design skills-building initiatives to enhance youths entrepreneurship ecosystem for better enterprise development and job creation for the green economy; and (iii) build the capacity of skills agencies to implement green skills by using innovative practices, technology solutions, and partnerships with private sector. |
