The development objective of the Sanad: Emergency Crisis Response Safety Net Project for Sudan is to provide emergency safety nets support to vulnerable and food insecure populations in selected areas of the Republic of the Sudan. The project comprises of three components. The first component, unconditional cash transfers will be implemented by World Food Program (WFP) and will deliver unconditional cash transfers. The second component, human capital sensitive cash transfers will be implemented by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and will provide cash transfers to vulnerable and food insecure pregnant and lactating women (PLW) in selected areas and localities with a strong link to health and nutrition services. The third component, project management finances costs associated with the implementation of the first two components of the project.To provide Emergency Safety Nets support to vulnerable and food insecure populations in selected areas of the Republic of the Sudan. |
