The TA will support selected DMCs to enhance their recovery readiness and resilience to disasters triggered by natural hazards. Increasing disaster risk and frequency in Asia and the Pacific is having a detrimental impact on growth and development outcomes. DMCs require assistance to improve their ability to lead an effective disaster recovery process, given the increasingly complex and often compounding contexts, including the widening gender disparities, in disasters. |
