Project Name Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya (Phase 2) Project Project Number 46166-003 Country / Economy India Project Status Approved Project Type / Modality of Assistance Loan The project will help the Government of Meghalaya improve education quality, expand provision of market-relevant skills training, and foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the state. It aims to enhance the employability of the states youth by tackling underlying issues at critical junctures in the education and skills development process. The project will help (i) enhance the school environment, and quality of teaching and learning in government schools to improve educational attainment and learning outcomes; (ii) increase coverage and quality of skills training; (iii) accelerate the states efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation; and (iv) forge partnerships with industry and academic institutions to enhance training relevance and employment opportunities. |
