PAVIE II is aligned with Thrust 1 of the National Development Strategy (NDS), 2025-2029, corresponding to the 2025-2029 five-year plan of the Senegal 2050 Systemic Transformation Agenda for a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal that is founded on strong values, a project that falls under the "Endogenous Economy and Food Sovereignty” programme. This programme includes flagship reforms such as women’s and youth empowerment, raising the countrys banking penetration rate, and granting credit for entrepreneurial initiatives. Driven by its desire to promote the countrys economic sovereignty, the Government of Senegal gives absolute priority to food sovereignty and plans to establish regional agro-industrial hubs intended to exploit the countrys agricultural and fishery resources. The goal is to offer an array of opportunities to young people through industrialization, together with the transformation and development of primary sector activities. Moreover, the other priority DER/FJ sectors remain consistent with the new policy guidelines of the State of Senegal.
Project Objectives
PAVIE II is specifically designed to benefit young people within the 15-40 years age bracket and all women who are economically employed. Accordingly, it is a continuation of PAVIE I, thus consolidating previous successes and strengthening the commitment to promoting the entrepreneurship of women and young people.
Beneficiaries
Ce programme vise principalement la phase de croissance des start-ups autonomes ou non autonomes générées par divers projets dincubation ou damorçage, tels que PAVIE I ou dautres initiatives entrepreneuriales au Sénégal (FONGIP, BMN, ADPME, 3FPT, etc.). Le système de coordination vise à formaliser le benchmarking des jeunes entrepreneurs dune phase à lautre. Au total, plus de 27 819 entreprises individuelles et groupements dentreprises, dont 40% de femmes et 70% de jeunes, seront ciblés et 92 633 emplois seront créés (40% pour les femmes et 70% pour les jeunes). Le PAVIE II vise à offrir aux jeunes et aux femmes un écosystème favorable garantissant leur accès au développement des compétences, à lappui technique et au financement de leurs activités. |
