Uruguay Project Notice - Connected Households: How To Maximize The Benefits Of Investments In Sanitation Systems

Project Notice

PNR 66456
Project Name Connected households: how to maximize the benefits of investments in sanitation systems
Project Detail The objective of this TC is to implement an experimental impact evaluation (a Randomized Control Trial, RCT) to assess the effect of designing and delivering functional construction designs to households on the sanitation network connectivity rate in the Manga neighborhood (Montevideo). As mentioned previously, this is one of the policies that the Government of Montevideo is currently undertaking as part of the ICP. Additionally, this study aims to assess the differential impact between detailed and simplified functional construction designs to identify the most cost-effective alternative. Detailed construction designs specify the necessary materials and construction details (lengths, slopes, etc.), while simplified construction designs are hand-drawn sketches providing basic construction guidance.
