Project Name Study on Sustainable Development Mechanism of Erhai Nature Reserve Project Number 58255-001 Country / Economy China, Peoples Republic of Project Status Proposed Project Type / Modality of Assistance Technical Assistance The proposed technical assistance (TA) will support the overall ecological protection and environmental sustainability of Erhai Lake Nature Reserve in Dali City, Yunnan Province, Peoples Republic of China (PRC). The TA will contribute to: (i) improving understanding of the current status, challenges, opportunities, and best practices for integrated lake ecosystem management; (ii) improve awareness and capacity of relevant stakeholders, including policymakers, farmers, agribusinesses, and community groups on sustainable environmental management of the Erhai Lake Basin; (iii) strengthen policy and institutional coordination for supporting comprehensive ecological and environmental lake management and water quality protection; and (iv) identify and prioritize investment opportunities to integrate nature-based solutions and management of water treatment infrastructure to optimize financial and environmental sustainability. |
