WHO recognizes Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) as an epidemic posing a threat to both individuals and healthcare systems. Accurate NCD detection and screening are essential to reduce premature mortality and morbidity.
This project aims to build and improve clinical testing knowledge and capabilities in the APEC region through the organisation of workshops. These workshops will target clinical testing laboratories and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) device manufacturers. Singapores Health Sciences Authority (HSA) will organize the workshops, involving regional measurement and conformity assessment experts from members of the Asia-Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) and Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), both of which are APEC Specialist Regional Bodies (SRB), as well as Inter-American Metrology System (SIM). Chemical pathologists and experienced laboratory or MedTech personnel will be invited to share their knowledge and experience in method validation and quality control. |
