Women entrepreneurs are critical to economic growth. This project aims to advance women’s economic opportunities within APEC and empower women to act as leaders in their communities. The APEC Catalyst Pitch Competition will provide women entrepreneurs working on science and technology-based solutions with training, mentorship, and access to resources that will help take their business to the next level. Activities will occur on the margins of the 2025 SOM1 or SOM3 and begin with two-days of training from expert instructors aimed at expanding understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The pitch competition will showcase promising women entrepreneurs on a global stage with a chance to compete for valuable startup resources. Entrepreneurs will engage with business mentors throughout the program and six months of mentorship will be provided to the top scoring individuals from the pitch competition as they continue to develop solutions that benefit women and society as a whole. |
