Project Name Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Sector Project Project Number 53389-001 Country / Economy Lao Peoples Democratic Republic Project Status Approved Project Type / Modality of Assistance Loan Technical Assistance The project will provide safely managed, reliable, affordable, and climate-resilient water supply and sanitation services to about 13,000 households (70,000 people), including 800 vulnerable households. It will (i) strengthen the regulatory environment of the water supply and sanitation sector; (ii) improve access toand the quality ofwater supply and sanitation services in participating provinces; and (iii) develop the institutional capacity of the Department of Water Supply (DWS) and provincial water utilities (PNPs) to manage and deliver sustainable water supply and sanitation services. |
