Project Name Community Access and Urban Services Enhancement Project II
Project Detail The objective of the Second Community Access and Urban Services Enhancement Project is to improve access to climate resilient infrastructure and services, enhance economic inclusion, and strengthen the capacity of public authorities to deliver services in Targeted Urban Centers. There are five components to the project. The first component being resilient township development. This component will enhance economic productivity and growth, as well as climate and disaster resilience by improving access to basic services and climate-resilient economic infrastructure in Honiara City and selected townships, aligning with NUP Goals 3 and 5. The second component is the safe and inclusive communities. This component will enhance the safety and resilience of residents in informal, densely populated settlements by improving access to community infrastructure and waste collection services, and by building local capacity for essential infrastructure maintenance. The third component is the enhanced urban productivity. This component includes three subcomponents: Literacy and Numeracy Skills Development, Work Readiness and Skills Training, and Support and Referral Services. The fourth component is the land administration and urban management and maintenance. This component will develop the capacity, tools, policies, and resources for improved urban management focused on land administration, revenue mobilization systems and management of public assets. This component includes three subcomponents: land administration, revenue mobilization, and urban management and maintenance. Finally, the fifth component is the project management. This component will support joint Project management, oversight, monitoring, and evaluation audits, communications, media support, technical assistance, training, financial management, procurement, and provision of goods and operating costs. To improve access to climate resilient infrastructure and services, enhance economic inclusion, and strengthen the capacity of public authorities to deliver services in Targeted Urban Centers.
