Viet Nam - HIV - Viet Nam Authority of HIV/AIDS Control - VAAC. This program has the following goals: Contribute to the National HIV/AIDS Strategys goal of controlling the HIV prevalence in communities below 0.3%, reducing the morbidity and mortality due to HIV infection, reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on socio-economic growth.. Strengthen participation of civil society organizations and community based organizations in contribution to national HIV/AIDS response.. The objectives of this program are: To sustain and promote essential package of combination prevention interventions, focusing on key populations and sexual partners of PLHIV in community.. To expand and promote early diagnosis through HIV testing using mixed traditional and innovative approaches for key populations & sexual partners of PLHIV in community.. To sustain and improve access to ART to maximize preventive and therapeutic benefits of ART on HIV transmission and reducing AIDS deaths, and contribute to the national target of 90% of people diagnosed are receiving ART, and 90% of people receiving ART have their viral load suppressed, while ensuring smooth transition to domestic financed program by social health insurance.. To strengthen sustainable system to generate strategic information to guide effective and efficient response to HIV/AIDS.. To strengthen community systems for effective and sustainable response to HIV/AIDS.. To promote enabling environment for key populations and PLHIV in access to health and legal services. |
