To offer a sustainable and secure transport service is the main commitment of the APEC economies, and to seek continuous improvement and capacity building to boost integrated growth among economies. In particular, developed economies have managed to reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions problems by adopting electric vehicles in urban public transport. However, there is still a latent problem in many other economies. That is why is necessary to work in a positive initiative so that the momentum and leadership of change are transmitted among economies, through a background study that will aim to collect the main advances in implementation of strategies, actions and public policies for adopting electric vehicles in urban public transport, followed by a workshop. In this sense, Peru will host a workshop in August2024. |
