Project Detail |
Following the earthquake and Hurricane Grace in August 2021 in the South, the World Bank approved the Ministry of Agricultures request to prioritize the rehabilitation and construction of rural infrastructure and to restore and boost the local food supply. This initiative aims to ensure the availability of nutritious food through technical packages for plant and animal production. Additionally, a mechanism will be implemented to enable the government to respond more quickly and effectively to eligible emergencies, reducing the countrys vulnerability. The consultation seeks to manage incentives for animal production in four departments, following the procedures outlined by the Ministry of Agricultures operations manual.
General Objective:
Recapitalize certain goat and poultry farmers, beekeepers and fish farmers by distributing technical packages enabling them to reconstitute part of their livestock and/or equipment while guaranteeing better resilience of their breeding practices.
Specific Objectives:
Mobilize the team to launch the project
Train the technical team on the field
Elaborate the inception report
Organize key meetings with the MoA and key partners on the field |
