Project Detail |
The French Development Agency (AFD) is supporting the town of Lamentin in the energy renovation of its public lighting.
CONTEXT
The City of Lamentin, in collaboration with the AFD and other strategic partners, is embarking on an energy renovation project for its public lighting. This project is part of a broader initiative aimed at improving the quality of urban life while addressing the challenges of sustainable development and reducing the carbon footprint.
DESCRIPTION
The project involves replacing 5,762 existing light points with advanced LED technologies. This will reduce energy consumption and improve lighting quality, thus promoting the city’s safety and nighttime attractiveness. The project is also aligned with national and international environmental objectives and includes urban connectivity aspects.
IMPACTS
The main expected results include a significant reduction in energy consumption, improved road safety, reduced maintenance costs thanks to the increased durability of the LED installations, and an enhancement of the citys cultural and architectural heritage. The project also aims to strengthen the feeling of security among residents and promote Lamentin as an attractive tourist destination. |
