Project Detail |
The town of Ducos is committed to implementing several operations aimed at preventing flooding and promoting social ties.
CONTEXT
Located on the Caribbean coast, the town of Ducos faces challenges from rising river waters and flooding, disrupting the daily lives of its residents.
Furthermore, although the city benefits from a dynamic community and sporting life, the infrastructure is often lacking or in an advanced state of disrepair.
To remedy these situations, the municipality has decided to undertake actions to improve the living environment of residents, in particular through the rehabilitation or construction of equipment and infrastructure.
DESCRIPTION
In detail, several projects have been dedicated to the fight against flooding. These include work on the pipelines in several districts affected by the phenomenon and upstream of the rivers to strengthen protection against flooding.
As for sports facilities, the city has rehabilitated the sports hall and built a cover for the sports facilities. The aim is to allow members to train in good conditions and to promote social ties by making sport accessible to all. These infrastructures are more environmentally friendly thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels, the use of LEDs and the implementation of smart networks.
