Project Detail |
Since the health crisis, the municipal team has initiated an ambitious multi-year investment plan focused on both combating climate change and strengthening multigenerational inclusion. A subsidized credit of 2 million euros allows the city to maintain its operational inertia at the end of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) program.
CONTEXT
Located on the Atlantic coast of Martinique, the city of Le François benefits from a very rich sporting and cultural life. Keen to improve the living environment of the inhabitants, the municipal team is accelerating its investment program to move towards a more sustainable and more economical city.
This investment financing fits directly into this approach on two levels: a low-carbon trajectory through the renovation of public lighting, and a better health policy through sport through the rehabilitation of the municipal sports complex.
DESCRIPTION
The year 2023 marks an important turning point in terms of planning, public safety, culture and sport. Having already begun a process of adaptation to climate change (installation of sea barriers to combat sargassum, HQE extension of the town hall), the municipal team continues to improve the living environment and strengthen social ties.
On the one hand, the city is strengthening its health policy through sport through the rehabilitation of the municipal sports complex, which will provide associations with new intergenerational spaces for multi-sport practice. On the other hand, the City wants to redefine nightlife by modernizing public lighting, improving not only the quality of lighting but also energy efficiency and the feeling of security (in parallel with the extension of video protection).
IMPACTS
Increase the luminous efficiency of public lighting while reducing energy bills;
Improve the quality of life of residents and the attractiveness of the city;
Promote the development of cultural and sporting activities;
Making sports practice accessible to a wide audience. |
